About the role

We are looking for a highly organized and self-motivated Corporate Finance Analyst to join our Corporate Finance team at TeamApt! This person will quickly develop a deep understanding of our business and be proficient at using data to drive insightful decision-making across the organization. In this role, you will help develop and monitor critical KPIs and own various business analysis initiatives.

What you’ll get to do

• Collaborate and serve as a proactive business partner across business functions to develop understanding of TeamApt’s products, strategy and processes to aid monitoring of critical KPIs
• Perform quantitative analysis of operational and financial data to aid strategic decisions by digging deep into complex (and sometimes mundane) business problems 
• Build, update and monitor financial databases and dashboards for different parts of the business by organizing and analyzing a wide range of data sources
• Monitor and analyze key drivers of the business (e.g. customer acquisition, conversion and retention trends, unit economics, product penetration, sales productivity etc.)
• Track and review any unexpected business, operational and financial outcomes with a mindset to solve these issues
• Report on monthly financial performance and analyze variances to plan/forecast, articulating the impact to the business
• Assist in development of other ad hoc financial planning and analysis exercises/reports by sourcing and analyzing operational and financial data

To succeed in this role, we think you should have

• A Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Engineering etc. (plus good to have or working towards relevant professional qualifications - CFA, CPA, ACCA, etc.)
• 3+ years of relevant experience in analytical roles - such as FP&A, strategic/corporate finance, strategy and operations, investment banking, venture capital, and/or management consulting. 
• A first principle thinking mindset to keenly analyse information with a view of simplifying and solving complex problems.
• Excellent to advanced proficiency in Excel
• Excellent in SQL and/or data visualization tools such as Grafana, Tableau, Superset etc.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence in an unstructured, cross-functional environment
• Ability to operate in an ambiguous work environment. Bonus points for experience at a high-growth tech startup!
