We are currently seeking an experienced and result-driven Construction Manager to join our client’s project execution team in Port Harcourt. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a proven background in onshore EPCIC projects, especially within the oil and gas sector.
As Construction Manager, you will oversee all construction activities, ensuring that manpower, materials, equipment, and processes are properly coordinated to meet project timelines, budget targets, and safety standards. You will work closely with project stakeholders, subcontractors, community relations teams, and client representatives to ensure smooth execution from mobilization through demobilization.
Key Responsibilities
Lead overall construction operations and execution strategies for pipeline and infrastructure projects.
Supervise construction teams, subcontractors, and field operations to meet project specifications.
Ensure compliance with all HSE and QA/QC standards and attend HAZID and constructability reviews.
Allocate equipment and manpower efficiently to optimize productivity and reduce downtime.
Represent the company on-site and serve as liaison between internal teams, clients, and government representatives.
Provide regular reports on progress, challenges, and safety concerns to the Project Manager.
Requirements
B.Eng. in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
Minimum of 15 years’ experience in major oil and gas construction projects, with at least 8 years in a senior construction management role.
Hands-on experience leading EPCIC onshore pipeline projects.
Strong knowledge of project safety, quality, and environmental standards.
