    Communications Advisor

    The Volunteer’s Role

    Are you passionate about developing and implementing communication initiatives as well as gender equality and reducing discrimination against women? If so, this might be the role for you!

    As the Communications Advisor, You will bring your experience to support all internal and external communication and support GADA's project's website and social media platforms.

    Apply to this position and help women to find a safe place and help empower them to overcome past experiences

    As a volunteer, you will:

    • Lead the development, review and implementation of GADA’s communication strategy and operating plan aligned to GADA’s organizational priorities for outreach and impact.

    • Train GADA staff on basic media engagement strategies, and social media postings that protects the image and brand of GADA

    • Write and distribute high-quality content to promote GADA’s brand including website, social media, blog posts, storytelling, documentary, photography and media engagements.

    • Assist the Programmes unit in proofreading/editing reports for brand content in line with management policies and guidance and relevant donor requirements.

    • Perform any other duties and tasks, which are commensurate with the responsibilities and level of the post.

    Essential Requirements:

    • University degree or equivalent in Mass Communications, journalism, communications or another relevant field

    Essential Background:

    • 2-3 years of relevant work experience in state or national/based funded grants/contracts

    • Knowledge of non-profit communications strategy

    • Proficient in computer/software skills, website and social media handling
