    Commercial Lead

    Job Description:

    We are seeking a visionary and results-oriented Commercial and Marketing Lead to spearhead revenue growth and partnerships for a fast-growing music platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Nigerian music industry, experience in commercialization, and a robust network of contacts across the industry. This role is critical in driving strategic initiatives that support independent artists and foster sustainable partnerships.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement commercial strategies to secure high-value partnerships, sponsorships, and advertising deals that align with the platform’s objectives.
    • Identify and leverage opportunities within the Nigerian music industry to drive growth and visibility for the platform.
    • Cultivate relationships with key players in the music and entertainment sectors, including record labels, producers, advertisers, and industry influencers.
    • Negotiate and finalize contracts with partners to maximize revenue while ensuring alignment with the platform’s mission.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the seamless execution of partnerships and revenue-generating initiatives.
    • Stay informed on industry trends, including the rise of streaming services, digital marketing, and content monetization.
    • Provide detailed reports on revenue performance, market insights, and deal pipelines to senior management.

    Qualifications:

    •  Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Advertising, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
    • Proven track record of success in business development, partnerships, or commercial roles within the music, entertainment, or advertising industries.
    • Deep knowledge of the Nigerian music industry, including trends in commercialization and monetization.
    • A strong network of contacts across the music industry, including artists, producers, record labels, and advertisers.
    • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently, meet revenue targets, and deliver under tight timelines.
    • Experience with digital platforms, content monetization, or tech-driven solutions is an added advantage.
    • Location & Work Environment:
    • Remote work is possible, with a preference for candidates based in Lagos or Abuja.
    • Flexibility for occasional travel to attend meetings, events, or industry conferences.
