Commercial Broiler Farm Officer at Taghini Foods

Job Summary

• We are looking for an experienced Commercial Broiler Farm Officer to oversee and manage broiler farming operations, ensuring optimal production efficiency and cost-effectiveness. 
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning and executing farming tasks, maintaining farm assets, managing staff, and ensuring biosecurity and safety standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee broiler farm operations, ensuring at least seven production cycles per year
• Achieve an average bird weight of 2kg within 4.5 weeks, with FCR of 1.56 and mortality below 3%
• Manage farm staff, resolve conflicts, and promote low turnover
• Maintain positive relationships with feed suppliers and chick producers
• Implement and monitor farm SOPs, stocking calendars, and biosecurity measures
• Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and prepare reports.

Job Requirements

• B.Sc./HND in Animal Science, Agronomy, Agriculture, or related field
• 3+ years experience in poultry farming
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of farm equipment and best practices.
