Class Assistant at Word of Faith Group of Schools

Key Responsibilities:

Classroom Support

• Assist the Class Teacher in preparing and organising teaching materials and resources.
• Support the delivery of lessons by helping individual pupils or small groups with classwork.
• Encourage active participation and help pupils stay focused.

Pupil Supervision

• Monitor pupils during lessons, break times, and school activities to ensure safety and good behaviour.
• Accompany pupils during excursions, assemblies, and special events.
• Provide extra care and attention to pupils who require additional support.

Learning & Development Support

• Reinforce learning concepts introduced by the teacher.
• Assist pupils with reading, writing, and other tasks as directed.
• Encourage positive attitudes towards learning.

Administrative Duties

• Help keep classroom displays, bulletin boards, and learning areas neat and organised.
• Assist with marking basic assignments and recording attendance.
• Distribute and collect materials during lessons.

Pastoral & Welfare Support

• Help maintain a caring and respectful classroom atmosphere.

Collaboration

• Work closely with the Class Teacher to ensure smooth lesson delivery.
• Participate in training sessions and staff meetings as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum of SSCE; NCE or equivalent qualification in Education is an advantage.
• Experience working with young children in an educational setting preferred.
• Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Organised, reliable, and attentive to detail.
