Civil / Structural Engineer (Real Estate Development) at Raphael Group

About the Role

• We are seeking experienced and detail-oriented Engineers to join a growing real estate development company.
• The ideal candidates will have strong hands-on experience in construction, civil, and structural engineering, and will play a key role in overseeing projects from planning through execution.
• This role requires professionals who can ensure structural integrity, manage site operations efficiently, and deliver high-quality projects within timelines and budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage construction projects from conception to completion
• Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with structural and safety standards
• Interpret and review engineering drawings, plans, and specifications
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and project managers
• Ensure all work complies with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards
• Perform structural analysis and provide technical guidance on design and execution
• Monitor project timelines, costs, and resource allocation
• Identify and resolve on-site engineering challenges proactively
• Prepare reports, documentation, and progress updates for stakeholders
• Ensure quality control and adherence to health and safety regulations

Requirements

• Minimum of 5–10 years of relevant experience in construction, civil, or structural engineering
• Proven experience working on real estate development or large-scale construction projects
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials, and construction methods
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Strong communication and team collaboration abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Certifications / Licenses (Preferred)
Candidates should possess one or more of the following (or equivalent):

• COREN (Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria) Certification
• Professional Engineer (PE) License
• A Membership with relevant professional bodies such as:
  • NSE (Nigerian Society of Engineers)
  • ASCE (American Society of Civil Engineers)
  • ICE (Institution of Civil Engineers)
  • PMP (Project Management Professional)
  • OSHA Certification or equivalent safety certification.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field is an advantage
• Relevant certifications, licenses, and extensive practical experience may be considered in place of formal academic qualifications
