    Civil & Structural Construction Supervisor III

    MAIN FUNCTIONS

    • Provide field-based technical support and supervision for wellbore construction activities from well planning through drilling, casing, cementing, completion, and well handover.
    • Monitor well construction operations to ensure activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved programs, procedures, and industry standards.
    • Review drilling programs, well schematics, casing designs, cementing programs, drilling parameters, and other well construction documentation.
    • Coordinate with drilling, completions, subsurface, production, well services, and rig teams to ensure effective execution of well construction activities.
    • Monitor drilling operations, including hole section preparation, drilling parameters, directional drilling, wellbore stability, hole cleaning, and formation evaluation.
    • Provide technical input on casing and liner running, cementing, pressure testing, wellhead installation, and related well integrity activities.
    • Monitor wellbore conditions and identify potential risks such as lost circulation, kicks, wellbore instability, differential sticking, pack-off, tight hole, and other drilling challenges.
    • Review real-time drilling and well data to identify trends, operational issues, and opportunities for improved well performance.
    • Verify that drilling and well construction activities remain within approved operational limits and engineering requirements.
    • Coordinate with directional drilling, mud logging, MWD/LWD, cementing, logging, and other specialist service companies.
    • Support troubleshooting of well construction problems and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
    • Ensure proper implementation of well control procedures and participate in well control and emergency response activities as required.
    • Monitor compliance with well control barriers, pressure control requirements, and well integrity standards.
    • Review daily drilling reports, morning reports, end-of-well reports, service reports, and other operational documentation for accuracy and completeness.
    • Maintain accurate records of well construction activities, operational parameters, lessons learned, non-conformances, and technical issues.
    • Participate in pre-spud meetings, operational readiness reviews, risk assessments, toolbox talks, and well construction planning sessions.
    • Ensure field activities comply with company HSE requirements, permit-to-work procedures, environmental standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
    • Monitor contractor and service company performance and ensure work is carried out in accordance with approved procedures and contractual requirements.
    • Identify opportunities to optimize drilling performance, reduce non-productive time, improve wellbore quality, and minimize operational risks.
    • Provide technical support during well suspension, temporary abandonment, completion, and final well handover activities.
    • Participate in post-well reviews and provide recommendations for improving future well construction programs.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Well Construction Manager or Drilling Superintendent.

    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s degree or HND in Petroleum Engineering, Drilling Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
    • Typically 7–10 years of relevant oil & gas well construction or drilling experience, preferably with significant field-based experience.
    • Proven experience supporting or supervising drilling and well construction operations, preferably on offshore, deepwater, or complex wells.
    • Strong knowledge of drilling engineering principles, wellbore construction, casing and cementing, well control, and well integrity.
    • Experience working with drilling contractors, directional drilling, MWD/LWD, mud engineering, cementing, wireline, and other well services.
    • Ability to interpret drilling programs, well schematics, casing designs, cementing programs, BHA designs, and drilling reports.
    • Knowledge of well control standards and practices, including IWCF or IADC certification where required.
    • Familiarity with applicable API, ISO, IADC, IWCF, and company well construction standards.
    • Strong understanding of HSE, risk management, PTW, SIMOPS, and offshore/field operating requirements.
    • Good analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and decision-making skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant drilling/well engineering software or real-time well monitoring systems.
