    Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

    Company Description

    Our client is a fast-rising agribusiness conglomerate – formed out of the need to create quality local substitutes for imported rice products in Nigeria.

    They are a vertically integrated producer of high-quality whole grain parboiled rice and work directly with their farm estates and network of out-growers to ensure the finest, export-quality products for our local and international customers.

    Job Description

    • Develop a strong vision for the company in alignment with the priorities established by the board and drive a sustainable plan to achieve the short-term, medium-term and long-term objectives of the business.

    • Develop frameworks that translate strategic and operational objectives into measurable and achievable business results.

    • Provide leadership oversight and drive all operations and business activities from pilot stage to execution ensuring that all results are consistent with the overall strategy and vision.

    • Formulate and champion strategies, high-quality business initiatives and processes that support profitable execution of the company’s rice business.

    • Oversee business expansions, project delivery and strategic business planning to drive the achievement of defined goals.

    • Responsible for the project execution of the Company’s rice business.

    • Expand and diversify the scope of deliverables across the agricultural value chain leveraging on advanced technology and knowledge of the business landscape.

    • Lead the team through cost-effective production with low wastage and high-quality standards whil

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or Business-related discipline.

    • A Master's Degree or MBA is required.

    • Minimum of 10 years senior management experience in Agribusiness or Manufacturing

    • Extensive knowledge and experience in strategic business management, formulating and executing strategic plans, strategic analysis and review & strategic market development.

    • A strong, dynamic leader with an entrepreneurial mindset with sound knowledge of food production operations

    • Knowledge of quality and food safety management

    • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)

    • Quality assurance process design for startup operations

    • Ability to execute and plan quality projects.

    • Ability to drive value chain initiatives

    Additional Information

    • Salary is competitive
    • Benefits include: vehicle & assigned driver, rent (off plant premises in Adamawa), accommodation within the plant premises, annual performance bonus, local medical cover.
    • If candidate is a foreigner; will be entitled to local cost of living allowance, 1 return ticket to home country per annum and payment of all immigration related permits.
