The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) serves as the strategic and operational leader of the Microfinance Bank, responsible for driving growth, profitability, innovation, and financial inclusion. The role oversees all core business functions including Operations, Finance, Technology, Risk, Credit, HR, Marketing, and Compliance.
Key Objectives
The CEO is accountable for:
- Strategic Leadership & Growth – Market expansion, digital banking strategy, business model innovation, profitability.
- Financial Management – Capital raising (equity/debt), liquidity, P&L optimization, investor relations.
- Risk & Governance – Strong risk culture, credit portfolio quality, regulatory compliance (CBN/AML/CFT).
- Product & Digital Innovation – Microfinance/SME lending, digital channels, API/fintech integrations.
- Operational Excellence – Process automation, cost efficiency, customer experience.
- People & Culture – Talent development, performance culture, leadership & diversity.
- Brand & Stakeholder Management – Ecosystem partnerships, regulatory and industry representation.
Key Responsibilities (Highlights)
- Define and execute long-term vision and growth strategy.
- Lead digital transformation, product development, and analytics.
- Strengthen enterprise risk management and compliance.
- Manage capital raising and investor relationships.
- Improve operational efficiency, cost optimization, and service delivery.

- Drive partnerships (CBN, NIBSS, telcos, fintechs, DFIs, NGOs).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Business/Economics or related field; MBA required.
- Professional certifications (CFA, ACCA, ICAN, CIBN, PRM/FRM) are an added advantage.
- 10–15+ years senior leadership experience in financial services, microfinance, retail banking, digital lending or fintech.
- Track record in digital financial platforms, capital raising, and credit/risk management.

Compensation
₦18M – ₦24M net/year
