Cafe Manager at Owens and Xley

Description 

• The cafe manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the cafe's operations and ensuring that customers have a pleasant experience.

Duties / Responsibilities

• Ensure all aspect of cafe’s operations runs smoothly and efficiently
• Develop and implement policies and procedures such as food safety and hygiene policy, customer service policy etc
• Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
• Manage the stock control
• Achieve growth by hitting sales targets
• Present sales, revenue and expenses reports
• Handle customers and team complaints in a professional and courteous manner
• Generate weekly, monthly and annual reports on cafe operations
• Keep an update knowledge of all food and beverage trends

Skills / Requirements

• B.Sc. in Business Administration, Hospitality Management or related field
• At least 5 years’ work experience as a Cafe Manager, Cafe General Manager, Hospitality Manager or similar role.
• Culinary schooling is compulsory
• Extensive food and beverage (F&B) knowledge
• Excellent food presentation skills
• Familiarity with cafe management software, like Open-table and Peach-works
• Knowledge of health and safety standards
• Must possess strong emotional intelligence
