    Business Development Manager

    About the job

    • The ideal candidate will lead initiatives to generate and engage with business partners to build new business for the company. This candidate will be focused and have strong communication skills. They should be able to think critically when making plans and demonstrate the ability to execute a particular strategy. 
    • Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve revenue growth targets
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, marketing, and relationship-building
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, partners, and stakeholders
    • Collaborate with all the departments to develop and deliver proposals, pitches, and presentations
    • Develop and manage the business development budget and reporting processes
    • Provide coaching and guidance to junior business development staff
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments
    • Work closely with the firm's leadership team to align business development strategies with overall firm goals

    Requirements:

    • Minimum 5+ years of experience in business development, marketing, or sales within a professional services firm (Tax, Audit, Legal, Human Resource Consulting, Risks, Consulting etc.)
    • Proven track record of success in driving revenue growth and developing new business opportunities
    • Strong network and relationships within the industry
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
    • Strategic thinker with ability to develop and execute business plans
    • Strong leadership and management skills
    • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Marketing, or related field (MBA is an added advantage)
    • Professional certifications (e.g. Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) etc.) an advantage

    Desirable Skills:

    • Experience with CRM systems and sales analytics tools
    • Knowledge of digital marketing and social media platforms
    • Familiarity with proposal and pitch development
    • Experience working with senior-level executives and partners
