The Business Development Manager will be responsible for leading outreach efforts across different channels, managing the full sales cycle from first contact to deal closure, and coordinating hand-off to the Talent team for delivery. This role is essential to expanding the company's reach and building reliable relationships with startup and growth-stage clients globally.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and qualify potential clients using platforms like LinkedIn, Twitter, AngelList, Crunchbase, and various startup databases.
Build comprehensive prospect lists and maintain up-to-date lead records within our CRM system.
Execute structured cold email campaigns, LinkedIn direct messages, and follow-ups to initiate contact with prospects.
Tailor messaging for different client profiles and meticulously track engagement metrics to optimize outreach strategies.
Conduct insightful discovery calls and confidently present the company’s diverse range of services.
Close deals directly with interested clients and seamlessly coordinate the next steps in the sales process.
Ensure a smooth hand-off of newly signed clients to the talent team for efficient placement.
Represent the company at relevant online and offline events, conferences, and within HR communities.
Actively capture potential leads and nurture these relationships post-event to foster future opportunities.
Collaborate closely with the Talent team to ensure client needs are thoroughly understood and met after the hand-off.
Provide regular progress updates to Management and offer valuable field feedback to improve our offerings continuously and messaging.
Requirements
A first degree in any relevant field.
3-4 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or client-facing roles (experience in recruitment or outsourcing is a plus).
3+ years of solid sales experience from a professional service sector, demonstrating a proven track record of securing new businesses, and consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
Strong CRM sales experience and proficient knowledge of CRM tools.
Ability to draft, decipher, and negotiate business contracts, showcasing exceptional negotiation skills and a keen eye for detail.
Confident and excellent written and verbal communication skills, with practical experience in handling cold outreach and pitch calls.
A self-starter who can effectively manage a sales pipeline, consistently follow up, and close deals independently without micro-management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
Intuitive and insightful, particularly regarding human behavior.
