    Business Development Executive

    Job Summary

    • As a Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and suppliers, providing support with managing projects, and ensuring that business strategies are implemented. You will work closely with the Business Development Manager to achieve the company's objectives.

    Key Responsibilities
    Product:

    • Ensure appropriate models are purchased and stocked.
    • Monitor product defect and customer service issues and ensure timely resolution.
    • Track aging stock on a weekly basis and minimize excess inventory.
    • Produce sell-through and sell-out analysis on a monthly basis across stores and share with BDM.
    • Track and analyse footfall in proportion to store sales and suggest alternatives. To be presented to the BDM monthly.

    Price:

    • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of industry and market trends.
    • Monitor competitor pricing and market trends and develop effective pricing strategies.
    • Discuss with suppliers on better pricing and credit terms. Resolve any supplier issues before escalation to BDM.
    • Monitor competitor pricing and market trends, suggest and implement effective pricing strategies.

    Place:

    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to increase sales revenue via new store locations.
    • Support corporate sales process.
    • Monitor and manage the company's online business presence, ensuring accuracy of data and timely order processing and delivery.
    • Ensure that all supplies required for the stores to function are delivered in a timely manner.
    • Ensure resolution of all IT and maintenance-related issues with the stores.
    • Manage projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed within budget and to the required standard. Provide project status reports to BDM on a regular basis.
    • Support all store launch activities from end-to-end.

    Promotion:

    • Collaborate with marketing consultants to conduct market research and identify customer needs and preferences.
    • Track tasks assigned to marketing and support consultants and ensure that outputs are delivered to company’s standards.
    • Assist the BDM in developing quarterly marketing strategies and plans, as well as tactical implementation of relevant strategies.
    • Contribute to the design of marketing campaigns.
    • Create and communicate all rebate and promotion templates to stores in a timely fashion.
    • Track and monitor rebate and promotion payouts by the brands.

    People:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners and suppliers.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients.
    • Provide guidance, training, and coaching to stores and junior team members.
    • Act as the first point of contact for sales supervisors and sales reps.
    • Supervise the work of Retail Executives and Retail Coordinators.
    • Support BDM with team members recruitment activities.
    • Provide monthly reports to the BDM on employee welfare.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development or sales.
    • Experience in retail sales of mobile phones and gadgets is required.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong project management and organizational skills.
    • Analytical mindset with the ability to conduct market research and data analysis.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
    • Knowledge of QuickBooks is a plus.
    • Willingness to travel frequently to different store locations.
    • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
