    Business Development Executive (Oncology Focus)

    Work Structure: Hybrid (2 Days Field / 3 Days On-site in Facility)
    Experience Level: Minimum of 5 Years (Healthcare Sector)
    Reports To: Hospital Manager
    Salary: ₦250,000 Monthly Base + 3% Performance Commission

    About the Role

    We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Executive to lead strategic growth initiatives, expand partnerships, and drive patient inflow for our Specialist Oncology Hospital in Lekki.

    The ideal candidate will combine strong business acumen with deep understanding of the healthcare industry—particularly oncology—while demonstrating exceptional relationship management and analytical skills. The role focuses on developing actionable strategies to increase hospital revenue, secure corporate and HMO partnerships, and improve access to quality cancer care services.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute sustainable strategies to achieve ₦70 million monthly revenue and a minimum of 50 new patients per month.
    • Drive at least 75 chemotherapy sessions monthly through effective patient engagement and referral management.
    • Identify, negotiate, and maintain partnerships with HMOs, NGOs, corporate organizations, and government health programs.
    • Secure a minimum of 5 major partnership contracts per quarter and increase patient referrals by at least 20%.
    • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify business opportunities in the oncology sector.
    • Design and implement B2B and B2C marketing campaigns to enhance brand visibility and patient acquisition.
    • Prepare and deliver persuasive business proposals, pitch decks, and presentations to potential partners.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to improve operational processes and enhance patient satisfaction.
    • Track, analyze, and report business performance metrics, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
    • Support innovation and development of oncology-related service lines to improve revenue and patient experience.

    Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

    • ₦70 million monthly gross revenue from clinical services (chemotherapy, consultations, surgeries, admissions, etc.).
    • 50 new paying patients monthly, with measurable retention and referral growth.
    • 75 chemotherapy sessions monthly through client conversion and retention.
    • 10+ new strategic partnerships or contracts secured per quarter.
    • Minimum 20% quarterly growth in patient referrals.
    • Consistent achievement of quarterly business development targets and timely reporting.

    Ideal Candidate Profile

    • Proven track record in business development, account management, or sales within the healthcare industry—preferably oncology or hospital management.
    • Strong networking, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
    • Ability to translate business strategies into measurable growth outcomes.
    • Data-driven, result-oriented, and comfortable using metrics for decision-making.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and proposal-writing skills.
    • High degree of initiative, professionalism, and adaptability in a dynamic healthcare environment.

    Required Skills & Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or Healthcare Management.
    • Master’s Degree or professional certification in healthcare business is an advantage.
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business development or sales within the healthcare sector.
    • Strong understanding of oncology, diagnostic services, and cancer care delivery models.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems, and data analytics tools.
    • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
    • Ability to interact confidently with C-suite executives, clinicians, and external stakeholders.
