Job Details

• The Bursar is a Principal Officer of the College responsible to the Provost for the day-to-day administration and control of the financial affairs of the College.
• By virtue of his position, the Bursar provides the Management of the College with appropriate and sound advice on financial matters.
• He/she must demonstrate considerable degree of competence, responsiveness integrity, and transparency on financial matters.

The Person
The suitable candidate must:

• Have a good honours Degree, HND, or its equivalent in Accountancy or Finance from a recognized of higher learning with at least twenty-one (21) years relevant and cognate experience; part of which should be in the College of Education system, plus full registration with recognized Professional Accounting Bodies such as: ICAN & ANAN. Possession of academic qualification(s) e.g., Ph.D or Master's Degree in Accounting or Finance discipline would be an added advantage
• Have evidence of attendance of a continuous Mandatory Professional Development Course
• Have leadership skills and be proficient in the use of computer, with excellent working knowing of good accounting packages.
• Have attained the rank of a Deputy Bursar on CONTEDISS 15 in the Nigerian College
• Not be more than fifty-nine (59) years of age at the time of taking up the appointment.

Condition of Service

• The salary and conditions of service shall be in accordance with what obtains in the Nigerian Federal College of Education system.
