Biochemist - Production & Testing at Valor Africa

Job Description

We are currently seeking a biochemist to join our company and help us change lives from our production factory. You will be involved in production and testing of our new protein resources before they are shipped to customers. You should generally be self-motivated and most importantly research-focused with an inquisitive mind-set. Additionally, you should have

• Good knowledge of protein units, peptides and methods of testing them (You do not need to have prior experience of testing it).
• Knowledge of protein/Antibacterial proteins on microbes and human skin.
• General knowledge on system sustainability and valorisation (In respect to Agriculture, Cosmetics, Pharmaceuticals or Plastic industries).
• General manufacturing ethics and production floor safety.
• General knowledge in organic chemicals used in Cosmetics/Pharmaceuticals (Specific reference to – Citric acid, Aqueous Gluconolactone, Potassium Sorbate, Sorbic acid, Sorbitol).
• Ability to use common laboratory apparatus.
• Ability to engage customers on product inquiry and testing.
• B.Sc/HND or M.Sc in related discipline.
• Previous 1 year of experience in Pharmaceutical, Cosmetic or Clinical laboratory is a strong advantage.
• Tech savvy with related certifications in Biochemistry/ Medical area is an advantage.
