    Avaya Support Engineer

    Location: Surulere, Lagos

    Job Description

    • Engineer will be responsible for managing customers’ Avaya infrastructure, providing 1st level onsite technical support, and Avaya contact centre end-user support.
    • This role includes Avaya problem management, client liaison, technical architecture and product development.
    • Support typically takes the form of investigating, resolving problems, and incident handling.
    • Implementation and Support of Avaya Components
    • Availability and performance monitoring, routine preventive maintenance checks, fault finding and fixing, work with senior engineers or Avaya backbone engineers
    • Avaya servers management and upkeep
    • Avaya End-user training
    • Documentation
    • A flexible work schedule is a requirement, one must be able to work nights and weekends when necessary.

    Knowledge / Experience

    • Minimum of Bsc or HND in Computer science, information technology or any related field
    • Supports of Avaya Contact and Telephony infrastructure including Avaya CM, IP Office SIP, AACC, ACCS, etc
    • This individual will have experience in implementation, administering and support of Avaya technologies as well as a good understanding of IP telephony supporting and contact centre environment.
    • Basic knowledge in networks (LAN, WAN, MAN)

    Skills:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
    • Self-starter, able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
    • Invent technical solutions to complicated problems
    • Detailed knowledge of Avaya aura and SME Solution
    • Superior interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
    • Time management and prioritization skills
    • Ability to develop strong working relationships
    • Ability to manage multiple activities and changing priorities
    • Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines
    • Self-starter with the ability to take the initiative and master new tasks quickly
    • Methodical, attention to detail.
