We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Test Lead to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, implementing, and executing automated testing frameworks for software applications.
As the Automation Test Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of automation testers, coordinating testing activities, and ensuring the quality and reliability of our products through automated testing processes. this is a contract position of 3-6 months.
Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of automation testers, providing guidance and support in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test suites.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and quality assurance engineers, to define test automation requirements and strategies.
Design, develop, and implement robust and scalable automated testing frameworks and scripts using industry-standard tools and technologies.
Execute automated test cases, analyze test results, and report defects to the development team, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
Define and maintain test data, environments, and configurations required for automated testing activities.
Continuously evaluate and improve existing automated testing processes and frameworks to enhance efficiency, coverage, and reliability.
Coordinate with project managers to prioritize testing activities, allocate resources, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software releases.
Stay up to date with emerging trends and best practices in test automation, software development methodologies, and quality assurance techniques.
Collaborate with stakeholders to assess risks, identify areas for automation, and drive automation initiatives across the organization.
Provide regular progress updates, metrics, and reports on automated testing activities to senior management and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
Proven experience of atleast 5 years in automation testing roles, with a strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, or similar.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript for test automation scripting.
Experience in leading and managing teams of automation testers in an Agile development environment.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and a focus on delivering high-quality software solutions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Proven ability to multitask, prioritize workloads, and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, ASTQB) and/or test automation tools/frameworks are desirable but not required.
Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and DevOps practices is a plus.
