The Auto Electrician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical and electronic systems in heavy-duty trucks to ensure reliable operation and safety.
This role requires in-depth knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and modern truck electronics.
The successful candidate will inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical faults related to wiring, lighting systems, batteries, alternators, starters, sensors, and control units.
They will work on truck dashboards, instrument clusters, ECU systems, and other electronic components, ensuring all systems function correctly.
The Auto Electrician will install and maintain electrical accessories such as trackers, GPS units, reverse cameras, and other fleet-related devices where required.
They will use diagnostic tools to identify electrical issues and carry out repairs efficiently to minimize vehicle downtime.
Maintaining accurate service records, following safety procedures, and collaborating with mechanics and fleet supervisors are key aspects of the role.
Requirements
Minimum of 3–5 years experience as an auto electrician for heavy-duty trucks
Strong understanding of truck wiring diagrams and electronic systems
Experience with diagnostic tools and fault-finding techniques
Technical certification or vocational training is an advantage
