Job Description

• A Hotel Assistant Maintenance Officer supports the Maintenance Officer/Manager in ensuring that all hotel facilities, equipment, and systems are functioning properly and safely.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist in carrying out daily inspections of hotel facilities
• Perform minor repairs in guest rooms and public areas
• Fix basic issues like leaking taps, faulty switches, door handles, locks, etc.
• Assist in maintaining lighting systems and electrical fitting
• Replace bulbs, sockets, and minor electrical components
• Report major electrical faults to the supervisor
• Help repair leaking pipes, blocked drains, and faulty toilets
• Ensure water supply systems are functioning properly
• Assist in servicing hotel equipment such as AC units, generators, pumps, and kitchen equipment
• Clean and maintain tools and maintenance equipment
• Participate in scheduled preventive maintenance tasks
• Help ensure breakdowns are minimized through routine checks
• Respond quickly to maintenance emergencies in guest rooms or public areas
• Support in resolving urgent faults affecting guest comfort
• Follow safety procedures when handling tools and equipment
• Ensure work areas are safe and free from hazards
• Use protective gear where necessary
• Report major faults and technical issues to the Maintenance Officer
• Keep records of repairs and maintenance work done
