Role Description

• The Android Developer will design, develop, test, and maintain mobile applications for the Android platform, ensuring performance, reliability, and a user-friendly experience. Responsibilities include collaborating with product and design teams to translate requirements into functional features, integrating APIs and third-party services, and troubleshooting and optimizing existing applications. The role also involves writing clean, maintainable code, participating in code reviews, and staying current with Android development best practices and emerging technologies.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Android app development using Kotlin and/or Java, and familiarity with Android SDK and Android Studio.
• Experience with mobile UI/UX design principles, responsive layouts, and Material Design guidelines.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs, JSON, and integrating backend services into Android applications.
• Understanding of software development best practices, version control (e.g., Git), and agile methodologies.
• Ability to debug, test, and optimize applications for performance, security, and scalability.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Previous experience in a similar Android development role; experience in tech or startup environments is an advantage.
• Banking or Fintech experience is a plus.
