Accounts Officer I at Medilag Consult

The Accounts Officer I will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the company’s day-to-day fiscal operations.

 Responsibilities:

• Processing invoices, verifying their accuracy, and monitoring incoming and outgoing funds.
• Reconciling bank statements, general ledgers, and credit card accounts regularly.
• Maintaining up-to-date journal entries and financial records, including labor and material costs.
• Assisting with tax returns, VAT filings, and ensuring compliance with local and federal regulations.
• Managing monthly payroll, including timesheets and statutory deductions.
• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Responding to account-related queries and following up on outstanding payments.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting and/or Finance.
• NYSC certificate with relevant work experience.
• Professional membership (ICAN, ACCA, AAT) is an added advantage.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.
• High attention to detail and ability to interpret financial data accurately.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and meet strict deadlines.
