    Accounts Officer

    Summary

    • The Accounts Officer will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, maintaining accurate accounting records, supporting financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and statutory requirements.
    • The role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong accounting knowledge and integrity.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, journals, and ledgers
    • Process invoices, payments, receipts, and expense claims in a timely manner
    • Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies promptly
    • Support month-end and year-end financial closing activities
    • Prepare financial reports, schedules, and summaries as required
    • Monitor accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely settlements
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and statutory regulations
    • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
    • Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation
    • Maintain proper filing of accounting documents and records
    • Liaise with vendors, banks, and internal stakeholders on financial matters.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
    • Minimum of 3 years and maximum of 6 years relevant work experience
    • Professional qualification (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent) is an added advantage
    • Sound knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
    • Experience working with accounting software and MS Excel.

    • Good knowledge of Nigerian tax and regulatory requirements
    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
    • Strong integrity and confidentiality
