    Accounts / Finance Officer

    Job Summary

    • The Accounts Assistant is detailed oriented and assists in the Accounts/Finance Department. Their responsibilities include keeping financial records up-to-date, checking for inaccuracies in invoices and handling queries on general accounts.
    • S/he must be open to learning and have strong communication skills as well as being able to achieve excellent customer service and maintain accurate financial records.

    Job Description

    • Post and process entries for all bank transactions to ensure all information/data are recorded
    • Manage and post petty cash entries and sign
    • Update accounts receivable documents and assist in follow up. (send emails and place calls)
    • Update accounts payable document weekly.
    • Check the system and reconcile all bank balances daily to ensure there are no discrepancies.
    • Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines.
    • Assist with reviewing of expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned.
    • Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed.
    • Update fixed assets schedule monthly.
    • Maintain insurance of all assets.
    • Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports (Cash movement report/payments report/receivables report, Assets register).
    • Assist in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings.
    • Provide administrative support to manager.
    • Manage basic administrative tasks such as filing, printing, reporting and emailing.
    • Scheduling client appointments and managing important department deadlines.
    • Managing disbursal of office petty cash.
    • Assist with other accounting projects.

    Requirements

    • Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree qualification.
    • 2 - 4 years work experience.
