Accounting Officer at Industrial and Medical Gases Nigeria Plc

Responsibilities

• Record financial transactions in accounting software and aid in the preparation of financial statements
• Maintaining fixed asset register and project accounting ledgers
• Process journals (correcting, provisioning, accounting for transactions etc.) maintaining balance and control standards
• Manage and monitor the flow of inventories.
• Liaise in record and management of importation costing processes.  Monitoring company assets in all units.

Qualifications and Experience

• The ideal candidate must be a Nigerian Citizen.
• Age 25- 30 years
• BSc / HND Degree in Accounting, with 3 - 5 years’ experience
• B.Sc. Economics, Finance, or HND in any of the Social Sciences with 3 - 5 years’ experience
• Completed NYSC scheme
• High knowledge of Microsoft Excel and data analysis
• Not a chartered accountant

• Communication skills (oral and written)
• Influencing/rapport building skills.
• Planning, organizing, and Problem solving
• Understanding of how to monitor basic monetary expenses (i.e. control vs. budget)
• Risk assessment.
• Must have strong interpersonal and technical skills and have the ability to work under pressure and sustain good working relationship with colleagues.
