Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other accounting documents.
Transaction Processing: Handling accounts payable (paying bills) and accounts receivable (collecting payments from clients).
Financial Reporting: Preparing regular financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Bank Reconciliation: Ensuring that bank statements match the company's financial records. Budget Management: Assisting in the development and monitoring of budgets, ensuring expenses stay within allocated limits.
Financial Analysis: Analyzing financial data to identify trends, variances, and potential areas for improvement.
Client Communication: Addressing client inquiries related to billing and payments, and resolving any issues or discrepancies.
Compliance: Ensuring all financial activities comply with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
Auditing: Assisting with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Other Duties: This may include tasks such as managing petty cash, preparing tax returns, and handling payroll.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Proven experience in accounting, finance, or a related role.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, procedures, and regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
