    Account Officer

    Responsibilities

    • Developing and maintaining regular reports via the company’s accounting system.
    • Entering accurate and timely transaction information into the company’s accounting system
    • Reviewing payment request including travel advances and reconciliation documents and ensure compliance with company’s policies
    • Managing payroll for staff and expense reimbursements for all staff
    • Preparing cash flow statements and expenditure accounts
    • Maintaining financial documents and a robust filing system
    • Analysing variances and explore potential problems with project budget, working closely with staff to forecast and address any variances
    • Preparing financial reports for internal and external use on a monthly and quarterly basis
    • Processing checks and expenditure (travel advances, imprest and purchase requisition)
    • Participating in internal and external audits by providing auditors with accounting documents as requested and provide explanations for audit queries
    • Ensuring all transactions comply with appropriate VAT regulations and submitting the VAT return on behalf of the company.
    • Managing petty cash transactions
    • Preparing and analysing account reconciliations monthly
    • Providing timely and accurate payment processing for suppliers and subcontractors
    • Managing the fixed assets register of the organisation
    • Any other responsibility assigned by management

    Experience, Qualification, and Required Skills

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
    • ICAN- Applicant must have completed at least Skill Level
    • Minimum of 3 years of financial accounting and reporting experience
    • Good knowledge of best practices in financial reporting standards required
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
    • Familiarity with QuickBooks Enterprise Solution, Excellent knowledge of MS Excel, Access and PowerPoint
    • Excellent verbal, analytical, organizational and written skills
    • Strong personal integrity and accountability
    • Must be a good team player.

    Salary
    N80,000.00 - N150,000.00 net monthly.
