    Key Roles/Responsibilities:

    • Exercise overall responsibility for the Security Department
    • Ensure security strategy and plans are aligned with company's business objectives
    • Prioritizes the allocation of security resources to high-risk, high impact issues
    • Management and improvement of complex Security structures
    • Serves as primary security contact with Senior Line and staff Management and ensure adequate planning and
    • provision of resources for appropriate security initiatives
    • Works with Business Groups to prepare security strategy and ensure most cost-effective service delivery
    • Communicate security issues and initiatives to business Groups, key stakeholders and translate their needs into
    • security programmes
    • Develops, implements and constantly review Security Policies and Procedures for the Security Department
    • Proactively work with Government Agencies, including Police, DSS, NSCDC and Military to define and clarify roles,
    • responsibilities and ensure that these Agencies’ actions are consistent with company's standards
    • Anticipate and meet the challenges/needs of company's stakeholders, including employees, contractors,
    • communities,
    • partners and service companies; manage security service delivery with internal business Groups.
    • Crisis management and planning
    • Builds relationship with business Groups, identify and anticipate their needs

    Competencies / Skills:

    • Needs to demonstrate business alignment, customer intimacy, organizational influence, results oriented, change
    • management, teamwork, diversity and inclusion, effective communication, conceptual thinking and analysis, and
    • functional/technical expertise
    • Good business judgment, high integrity and a willingness to accept accountability for team process and outcomes
    • Ability to lead, train and motivate large industrial security personnel and guard force
    • Demonstrated ability to influence business, Government and Community Leaders and lead projects to conclusion
    • Comprehensive knowledge of Global Security process and its relevance to company'’s goals of achieving competitive
    • advantage in the OIL & GAS industry
    • Excellent and effective written and oral communication, as well as presentation skills
    • Efficiency and cost-control initiatives across the Security functions

    Qualification / Experience:

    • A good First Degree in any discipline
    • Possession of a post Graduate Degree is highly essential
    • 10 years post qualification experience in the various areas of Security Profession with a minimum of 5 years in
    • Industrial Security practice
    • Knowledge of Niger Delta terrain is an added advantage
    • Membership of both Local and International Security Association is compulsory

    Personality Traits:

    • Must be a team player, confident, consistent and decisive in resolving security issues
    • Must be loyal and highly committed to achieving Organization objectives and equally be willing to work at odd hours
    • Good interpersonal relationship
