Job Description

• Maintains a working relationship with vendors
• Plans event aspects, such as venue, seating, dining, and guest list
• Delegates event planning tasks to other staff members where necessary
• Demonstrates to clients strong knowledge of venues and vendor offerings and taking clients on tours of venue possibilities
• Coordinates event entertainment, including music, performers, and guest speakers
• Stays under budget while planning event specifications
• Manages and oversees events on the day of the event including problem-solving, directing event set-up, communicating with staff, and organizing vendors
• Communicates with marketing team to create effective advertisements for each event, and when necessary crafting marketing materials such as print and Internet advertisements for individual events
• Anticipates and plans for different scenarios
• Creates sales opportunities for future events
• Plans multiple events at once

Requirements and Skills

• B.Sc/H.N.D holder
• The candidate must be very proficient in the use of Microsoft office applications.
• Has over 3 years experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
