    Logistics Technical Lead

    Duration: One Year with the possibility of renewal subject to the availability of fund.

    Essential Functions

    • To lead and provide technical and strategic direction to the NPHIIA health supply chain team in ensuring an uninterrupted supply of health and non-health commodities required in achieving the goals and objectives of the NPHIIA Nigeria program)

    Key Area of Responsibility

    • The incumbent would ideally be a highly competent self-starter with strong ability to communicate, motivate and lead a team.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Provide supportive supervision, capacity building and mentorship to the health supply chain team
    • Coordinate the activities and functions of the health supply chain team to ensure an uninterrupted supply of commodities required on the NPHIIA grant
    • Organise and conduct training of program staff on logistics management.
    • Forecast commodity needs for the program
    • Develop and maintain systems and mechanisms for the acquisition and delivery of health and non-health commodities that are most appropriate to the needs of the Nigeria NPHIIA Program and and field staff.
    • Support the health Supply chain specialists to implement best practices in commodity management (e.g. storage, inventory management, waste drive, etc.) of health commodities and other related improvements and recommendations identified during assessments.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Education: Minimum of a Masters Degree in Public Health, a Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy or a related field, Certificate in Logistics Management of Health Commodities or its equivalent
    • Experience: Minimum of ten (10) years relevant experience managing health supply chains on donor funded programs e.g. HIV, Malaria, etc. with at least five (5) years managerial responsibility
