Purpose of the Job

For the monitoring and controlling of health and safety compliance and related rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring a safe workplace environment without risk to health.
• Ensuring that all Health, Safety and Environment policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed updated and communicated.
• Documenting all accidents, investigating and recommending improvements.
• Ensuring safety inspections are carried out, fire drills and fire alarms are in good condition and employees are aware of their responsibilities.
• Promote safety awareness among employees in the workplace.
• Advise the management on associated safety laws and regulations.

Desired Competencies & Experience

To be selected for this role, you should be able to demonstrate the following competencies

• Minimum of 3 years recent and relevant experience in a similar role.
• HACCP Qualified with environmental Certifications.
• Requisite experience in handling HSE investigations.
• Experience of formulating, implementing and revising HSE policies and procedures.
• Ability to develop business correspondence and procedure manuals.
• Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Salary:  N 960,000 – N 1.4m per annum
