Group Project Engineer at Michael Stevens Consulting

Job Responsibilities

• Define standards and execute tasks associated with managing projects.
• Prepare preliminary or approximate estimates for budgeting and feasibility studies for all projects.
• Plan and schedule the project by developing a project master schedule.
• Create a project dashboard outlining current/backlog projects with priority according to overall business objectives.
• Adapt plans based on evolving needs, conditions or issues that may arise and ensure on-time, high-quality delivery in accordance with the stated project goals.
• Advise management on matters requiring attention and implement management decisions.
• Respond to enquiries and help resolve problems arising in projects.
• Preparation of project reports for management review and decisions.
• Create structured schedules and project plans based on the project goals, resources needed, potential risks, time to market and budget constraints.
• Track deadlines, deliverables, resources, and timelines throughout the project process.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Civil Engineering or Project Management.
• Prince2 certification.
• An MBA is desirable.
• COREN certification; also desirable.

Experience:

• 5-8 years total working experience (3-5 years in similar job role in a manufacturing work environment; preferably beverages, rigid plastics or PET products).
• Experience working in several project sites.

• Ability to track project deliverables using appropriate tools e.g. Gantt Chart.
