    Grant and Corporate Relation Officer

    Job Description:

    • Responsible for identifying funding opportunities for company’s projects
    • To coordinate and/or develop grant applications and be responsible for monitoring that project
    • milestones are being met, reporting progress to funding bodies and ensuring that grants are acquitted in a timely manner.
    • Responsible for the identification, coordination and preparation of high quality applications for awards.
    • Responsible for secretariat functions for the company
    • To provide an essential role in other company’s development programmes when required

    Key Responsibilities:

    Responsibility for high quality grant applications for the company, and ensuring the company’s opportunities to obtain external funding are maximised by:

    • Understanding the company’s programmes of priority.
    • Seeking specific grant funding to match the organisational priorities.
    • Assist in the development of partnerships and projects including undertaking research and budget preparations to support grant applications.
    • Liaising closely with company’s internal business units to gather all pertinent information required for completing the grant application including the provision of financial support and in-kind support.
    • Ensuring that high quality grant applications are submitted on time.
    • Preparing reports/budget submissions to management when necessary.
    • Develop a network of contacts within Local, State and Federal Government departments and other non-government bodies to maximise knowledge of available grants and the applicable guidelines and eligibility criteria.
    • To develop Quality Assurance procedures relevant to grant applications including:

    Requirements:

    • Minimum relevant HND or Degree in relevant discipline (Agriculture, Management, etc)
    • 2-3 years experience on similar role
    • Demonstrated effective analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to research issues, interpret and analyse information, prepare succinct information and provide sound advice, options or recommendations.
    • Demonstrated ability to produce high quality documentation such as submissions, briefing papers, reports, publications and policy development.
    • Highly developed communication skills (written & verbal) with demonstrated ability to tailor communication to relevant audiences and ability to develop high performing working relationships.
    • Sound time management skills, including the ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks.
    • Demonstrated experience in providing quality executive support e.g. arranging meetings, taking minutes, preparing agendas and Ministerial correspondence.
