    Chief Financial Officer

    Adexen Recruitment Agency is mandated by an Oil & Gas Company to recruit an expatriate Chief Financial Officer.

    Company

    Our client is an Exploration & Production Company.

    The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) provides both operational and programmatic support to the organization. The CFO is accountable for the administrative, financial, and risk management operations of the company, to include the development of a financial and operational strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, providing financial projections and accounting services, preparing growth plans, ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results.

    Job description

    • Overall responsibility for the day to day finances of the company
    • Provide and/or oversee day-to-day financial and accounting services and management within the guidelines
    • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, integrity and appropriate disclosure of the company’s financial statements and other financial information through appropriate policies and procedures
    • Ensure appropriate financial risk, accounting and auditing policies and procedures of the company are developed, maintained, approved and disclosed, as appropriate
    • Establish and maintain internal control over financial reporting through appropriate policies and procedures on multiple sites
    • Global responsibilities on all taxations issues
    • Approve commitments within the limits of delegated approval authorities
    • Prepare financial acquisition plan and post acquisition plan

    Expectations

    • Degree in corporate finance or similar
    • 5-10 Years experience in a similar organization and idealy in the Oil & Gas sector
    • Experience in company acquisition strategy and financial and capital restructuring plan for the target company.
    • Influence & Leadership skills are requested, especially to work in a very challenging environment
    • Familiar with Sox and US GAAP
    • Previous experience in Africa is a plus
    • Superior oral and written communications skills
