International Trials Manager (Ref. IITA-HR-NRS2015-021) at IITA - International Institute of Tropical Agriculture

Background and Responsibilities
Successful candidate will among other things perform the following duties:
• Support scientist of the CAY-seed project in implementing activities;
• Contribute in designing, planning, implementing on farm /demonstration as well as on-station experiments to demonstrate the benefits of using clean seed yam;
• Collate and analyze all data of the CAY-seed project;
• Publish research output in peer-reviewed international journal articles;
• Engage in multiplication of disease and pest free seed yam for experimental purpose as well as oversee the maintenance of quality seed by national partners;
• Provide technical support to National Agricultural Research and Extension System in selected communities;
• Contribute in the development and dissemination of training documents (flyers, newsletters, posters, training and extension manual etc.)
• Liaise between other projects with similar objectives to ensure the coordination of related activities;
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Qualification and Experience
M.Sc in Agronomy, Plant Science or related discipline from a recognized University with minimum of 5 (Five) years relevant in a similar role.
