    Sales Representative (Ref: 449)

    Responsibilities:

    SALES OBJECTIVES 

    ·         Achieve volume targets by taking orders
    ·         Implement POP drivers
    ·         Manage merchandising function and implement product flow and planograms
    ·         Stock rotation
    ·         Manage returns within the agreed parameters
    ·         Implement promotions, gondola ends, POS material and product advertising
    ·         Gather market intelligence and forward to the business
    ·         Conduct pricing surveys
    ·         Follow up on customer queries
    ·         Achievement of volume targets
    ·         POP scorecard
    ·         Merchandising scorecard
    ·         Shelf health and hygiene
    ·         Returns within the agreed % of sales volume
    ·         Done on a weekly basis
    ·         Updated customer call cards and sales volume
    ·         Overhaul rating on POP driver implementation as per scorecard
    ·         Overhaul rating of forward share, RSP’s, product flows and merchandising as per scorecard
    ·         Managing dated stock
    ·         Rating on promotional criteria, condition and quantity of gondola ends ,broadsheet space as per the agreement and the visibility of POS material and price flashes as agreed
    ·         Weekly pricing surveys and the accuracy of pricing
    ·         Customer rating

    MARKET SHARE

    ·         Maintain POP drivers and merchandising standards
    ·         Monitor stock levels
    ·         Manage product advertising on broadsheet
    ·         Market new customers
    ·         Implement POP drivers as per customer and brand plans
    ·         Take stock on every call cycle and manage on customer call card by placing orders
    ·         Ensure SKU’s by category and space as per the Trade agreement
    ·         Complete application forms, open account and service
    ·         Complete and evaluate the scorecard quarterly
    ·         Measure out of stocks
    ·         Customer manager to gather broadsheets on a weekly or monthly basis and evaluate

    FIXED EXPENSES

    ·         Manage within budgeted kilometres
    ·         Manage fuel consumption as per manufacturers specifications
    ·         Manage vehicle running costs as per the budget
    ·         Manage cell phone within the agreed parameters
    ·         Complete route schedules
    ·         Drive within speed limitations and plan daily activities
    ·         Keep to service intervals and regular checks as pr vehicle booklet
    ·         Measure and manage km’s as per route schedules
    ·         Measure fuel consumption as per national average of Nedfleet
    ·         Conduct regular vehicle inspections and monitor expenses monthly

    PROJECT MANAGEMENT

    ·         Price implementation
    ·         Documentation and implementation
    ·         Pricing claims
    ·         Co-ad claims
    ·         Credit notes and pick up notes
    ·         Debtors
    ·         Pallet management
    ·         Effective and timeous presentation of dealsheets to buyers
    ·         Ensure all customer documentation complies to Company and SARS regulations
    ·         Done timeously and correspond to the relevant deal sheets
    ·         All claims done as per the Trade agreement
    ·         Done as per the agreement and done timeously
    ·         Weekly or monthly statements delivered and discussed with customers. Payments done as per the terms set out in the Trade agreement.
    ·         Monthly recons done with customer
    ·         Buyers to sign for deal sheets
    ·         Check documentation before accepting or signing
    ·         Ensure cycle deals do not expire and pricing on orders correspond
    ·         Claims correspond with sales figures
    ·         Credit notes correspond with cycle deal and pricing correct on note and pick up note / slip is done and signed
    ·         Reviews of statements and age analysis must be discussed with customer and managed to stay within agreed terms
    ·         Ensure business unit and customer recons balance and one on one policy applies

    Qualification and Experience:

    QUALIFICATION REQUIRED:

    • ·         Grade 12 / Higher Diploma

    EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
    1. Technical/Operational Competencies

    • ·         Computer literacy       

    2. Minimum Years’ Experience in Technical/Operational Environment

    ·         Field sales experience 3-5 years
    ·         Customer service orientation
