1. Position purpose
- Under the supervision of BCS Country Group Head WCA steers the BCS Crop Protection business in Nigeria in order to grow the sales and maximize the short & long term profitability those in respect of compliance and company rules
- Establish a local Ex-stock business in Nigeria and relevant commercial policy and business coverage
- Increase turnover with 3 national distributors
- Build up and manage a dedicated sales force ( 20 FTE’s )
2. Major tasks and responsibilities of position
- Responsibility of BCS customers portfolio (distributors, agro dealers, commercial farms , influencers ) by insuring and optimising the new setup of the distribution maximising integrated short and long term profitability.
- Develop good face to face relationship with customers in order to achieve sales objectives and new product developments, looking for client’s satisfaction.
- Support and implement financial marketing tools policy and credit management
- Contribute to develop crops solutions and services on selected crops and segments
- Identification and selection of partners of choice representing the best mid and long term potential
- Negotiation of local distribution agreements within BCS compliances processes and regulations
- Set up of commercial terms and conditions (discounts, promotions, rebates and payment terms ) adapted to crop segments requirements allowing adequate remuneration for our partners
- Constant supervision of sales and items portfolio based on strategy, rotation, volumes and economic contribution
- Product supply and sales forecasting
- Implementation of Loyalty program
- Assist Marketing Manager for surveys, action plans, product launches
- Participation to product price positioning
- Coordination of launch, events organisation ( fair , exhibition …)
- Set up of management principles tools allowing collaborators actions planning (weekly planning, monthly report, etc...)
- Preparation and execution of monthly business meetings
- Definition of training actions for the sales force and the means allowing collaborators development
- Regular visits to the different districts in order to check the market environment and verify colleagues work quality
- Continual evaluation of the collaborators to identify possible gaps or flinching’s
- Set up of sales force computerization with IT
- Control and follow up of clients orders, prices lists and risk situations
- Follow up payments situation with credit management Department
- Prepare business monthly report and dashboard with controlling department
