    Job Description

    • This role is for a youthful photographer with a creative and innovative mind who seeks to grow a career in photography.

    Responsibilities and Duties

    • Planning and Implementation of background/backdrop.
    • Properly light subjects using artificial or natural lighting and using flashes and reflectors where necessary.
    • Retouch, Resize and enhance images as needed using photoshop or other photography software.
    • Selects and assemble proper equipment, and choose settings and props based on clients wishes and theme of the photo.
    • Adjust apertures, shutter speeds, and camera focus based on a combination of factors such as lighting, field depth, subject motion, film type, and film speed.
    • Develop and print exposed film, using chemicals, touchup tools, and developing and printing equipment, or send film to photofinishing laboratories for processing.
    • Scan photographs into computers for editing, storage, and electronic transmission.
    • Set up photographic exhibitions for the purpose of displaying and selling their work.

    Key Performance Indicators:

    • Creativity and Imagination: You must be able to look at something ordinary, or even extraordinary, and find a million different ways to interpret what he’s seeing and convey those interpretations in beautiful and meaningful photos.
    • An eye for Detail: You must have a very keen eye for detail to ensure that all elements within the photo—the lighting, the composition, the subject, and everything else in between—work together harmoniously to convey the right vision or message.
    • Patience and Flexibility: You must have the patience and flexibility to interact with clients.
    • Good People Skills: You’ll also need to network to obtain clients and partnerships, so knowing how to connect and communicate effectively with others is imperative.
    • When you’re photographing people, knowing how to take a good photo simply isn’t enough. You also have to know how to interact with your subjects to make them feel at ease, get them to cooperate, or draw out all the right emotions out of them.
    • Passion: What sets a good photographer apart from the rest? Passion.

    Barriers to Success:

    • Artistic Ability: Inability to be able to compose a shot, understand framing, color and light to create a visually pleasing photograph.
    • Computer Skills: Inability to effectively use some computer software to edit pictures
    • Attention to Details: Not being a good listener.
    • Promptness: Inability to manage priorities and work to tight deadlines without compromising accuracy.
    • Interpersonal Skills: Inability to Relate effectively with clients and colleagues
    • Communication Skills: Not having excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Business Skills: Inability to bring in new customer to enhance business growth
    • Creativity: Inability to come up with unique concepts
