    Chief Human Resources Officer

    Roles and Responsibilities
    Strategy and Operations:

    • Develops HR programs, processes and policies against best practices and also in line with the Corporate Centre’s strategies and priorities, in the different areas related to Human resources (including learning & development; performance evaluation, compensation and benefits management, and employee health and well-being)

    • Liaises with finance and industry best practice for manpower related costs. This enables TAK to plan strategically to meet current and future manpower needs
    • Approves group HR plans and budgets in line peculiar business needs for all subsidiaries

    HR Advisory and Leadership Support:

    • Provide leadership in the development of HR policies, rules, regulations, norms and standards, and ensure their implementation
    • Oversight of HR functions across all entities or subsidiaries in the group to ensure compliance with Group policy and direction
    • Leads the employee and human resource communications strategy to deliver necessary information to the employees, simplifying the messages to focus on what matters
    • Provides guidance on HR issues to the board and heads of subsidiaries


    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field
    • Professional qualifications in CIPM, CIPD, SHRM or related field
    • MBA or Masters degree in Human Resource Management or related field
    • 10 -12 years’ relevant experience with at least 7 years in a managerial role
    • Experience in strategic management, change management, organizational design, performance management
    • Experience in agriculture and manufacturing industries would be an added advantage.

    Chief Finance Officer

    Roles and Responsibilities
    Finance Strategy:

    • Oversees the financial management of TAK Group i.e., responsible for planning short, medium and short term), budgeting, accounting, financial statements, ensuring appropriate reimbursement, maintaining internal controls, ensuring a successful annual audit, and performing the necessary and appropriate financial/program analyses.
    • Develops and ensures implementation of goals, projects, policies, procedures, methods and controls in his/her areas of responsibility.
    • Develops finance targets for the financial year in consultation with Group leadership.
    • Contributes to TAK's business strategy and ensure financial objectives are aligned across the respective subsidiaries.
    • Cascade TAK financial strategies into an effective business plan for TAK subsidiaries and ensure maximum alignment between organizational objectives and operating companies activities.
    • Forecasts revenues, expenditures and year-end balances on the accrual basis of accounting.
    • Develops and implements robust cost management strategies to monitor and control costs across the organization.
    • Oversees long-term budgetary planning, forecasting and cost management in alignment with TAK's strategic plan.

    Cash flow management:

    • Defines the liquidity strategy, which outlines how liquidity challenges will be handled and reviews this annually.
    • Reviews cash flow position for ending period across the group. Reviews ledger and income statements to assess Group’s liquidity position.
    • Reviews expected inflows for the next financial period and implications of default in inflow. Focuses attention on largest pipelines as they bear the highest risk on Group’s liquidity position.
    • Reviews list of payments expected within the period, including personnel fees, capital expenditures and other operational costs.
    • Manages consolidated balance for the Group to obtain highest possible interest earnings.
    • Oversees capital expenditures considering the Group’s liquidity position.
    • Oversees disbursements using strategies to allow earnings on consolidated account to be maximized.

    Finance Administration and Compliance:

    • Ensures Group’s financial practices comply with statutory regulations and legislation.
    • Ensures Group’s financial systems support current activities and future growth.
    • Ensures appropriate finance systems are maintained and that all procedures/controls are implemented.


    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics or related field.
    • Professional qualifications in ACCA, ICAN, CFA or related field.
    • MBA or Masters’ Degree in a related field would be an added advantage.
    • 15+ years of relevant experience with at least 7 years in a senior management role.
    • Experience in agriculture and manufacturing industries would be an added advantage.
    • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, laws and best practices.
    • Proven record of accomplishment in overseeing the preparation and control of the company’s financial reporting processes, and managing annual planning process.
    • Excellent knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.

    Tax Manager

    Tax Strategy and Policies:

    • Develops and implements tax strategies, policies and compliance activities across the group.
    • Oversees all tax and regulatory matters across the group.
    • Keeps abreast with tax laws and developments that affect business operations.
    • Identifies potential tax issues and guides the group on mitigating tax risks associated with business operations.
    • Prepares tax reports to aid management decision making and for review by regulators, tax consultants and auditors.
    • Builds and maintains relationship with tax authorities, tax consultants, Banks, Industry regulators.

    Company Tax Obligations:

    • Reviews returns for previous financial year and prepares current year tax returns, may involve an external tax consultant or auditor   for appropriate tax advice.
    • After filling out various tax forms, maintain a tax master record.
    • Makes necessary computation for tax and submits to head of finance for approval.
    • Ensures proper record keeping of tax documents for audit purposes and management review after remittance.
    • Ensures compliance with tax laws across the group to avoid penalties.
    • Ensures accurate and timely filing of tax returns for best practices.
    • Receives Group payroll sheet for the month and coordinates the computation PAYE tax.
    • Fills out tax forms with tax calculations for period and sends to Head of Finance for review and approval.
    • Ensures that WHT and VAT are computed accurately and remitted before the deadline.


    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics or related field.
    • Professional qualifications in ICAN, CITN or related field.
    • 7 - 9 years of relevant experience with at least 4 years in a managerial role.
    • Experience in agriculture and manufacturing industries would be an added advantage.
    • Experience in transfer pricing, tax audits, tax compliance.
    • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

    Head, Information Technology

    Strategic Operations:

    • Assesses existing IT platforms in the group to determine if accurate standards exists.
    • Assesses and determines possible technology requirements in alignment with TAK Group’s goals.
    • Assesses and defines the different data environments being supported and any issues related to data
    • Defines an overall vision of TAK Group’s future applications, technology, telecommunications and data architecture, in line with the corporate strategy.
    • Designs and develops the overall Enterprise Architecture for the group in line with its business activities.
    • Designs and develops a central system for data storage and management (Data Centre).
    • Develops systems standards, specifications and approved software, recommends hardware and software upgrades where and when appropriate.

    IT operations:

    • Ensures that vendor services are negotiated in line with IT strategy and financial budget.
    • Ensures ongoing service is in line with agreed contracts.
    • Ensures trainings are provided on any new IT tool that may be introduced.
    • Ensures Hardware and Server infrastructure is maintained and developed in line with an agreed IT strategy.
    • Shapes and oversees support services so that operational problems are resolved per subsidiary.

    IT security and risk management:

    • Identify and analyze potential risks, their mitigation, with the aim of maintaining the functioning of the information system and TAK’s overall business.
    • Develops strategies to mitigate IT risks associated with business activities.
    • Develops policies that specify exactly what is permitted and prohibited.
    • Ensures appropriate trainings and documentation are available for staff on IT security requirements.
    • Ensures appropriate backups are being conducted and retained for all systems.
    • Develops and implements measures to safeguard data in the event of major incidents or disasters.


    • Defines and reviews IT reports and forwards to group CEO.
    • Prepare IT Security Report to show positive and negative trends, major initiatives, updates, and other aspects of IT Security and forwards to the head for review.


    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
    • Professional qualifications in IT and security management.
    • Professional qualification in Management or Master’s degree in Information Management or Information Technology or related field would be an added advantage.
    • 12 - 15 years’ experience with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
    • Experience in agriculture and manufacturing industries would be an added advantage.
    • Ability to develop and implement strategic vision.
    • Experience in project management.
    • Ability to plan and manage a budget.
