    Manager, HR Business Partner

    About the Role

    • Andela is growing it’s engineering experience team exponentially in 2019.  Join our growing team in supporting Andela’s engineering community. This is an amazing opportunity for a passionate and talented HRBP to innovate alongside a stellar team and equally passionate and driven managers. Your role will support the implementation of a variety of programs and initiatives that create a compelling employee experience for all engineers at Andela.     • You will act as a liaison for employees and managers, focusing on supporting and implementing people team programs. You will provide guidance and support on people processes, procedures and initiatives. You will collect qualitative feedback that assists the broader Engineering Experience team in delivering both exceptional partner and employee experiences.
    • This role reports to a more senior member of the Eng Exp team (Manager or SM)

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Support the implementation of engineering experience programs and initiatives through execution including retention strategies, performance management, recognition and reward, culture and connection, career development and advancement, onboarding
    • 1st point of contact for engineers on all matters including lifecycle events.
    • Able to resolve issues independently and minimize escalations, seamless transfer between you, people operations and partner engineering
    • Support partner engineering and (future management structure for engineers) to nurture a culture that rewards growth in critical skills, competencies and delivery

    Qualifications

    • Meaningful directly relevant experience as an HRBP ideally in a fast paced/dynamic start up or technology environment
    • Stellar track record that includes demonstrated proactivity/initiative, creative problem solving, critical thinking, execution focus
    • Have a strong sense of business ethics and ability to appropriately handle confidential information and demonstrate a solid  understanding of Human Resources Management Processes, Culture and Performance Management.

    Creative Designer

    About the Role

    • The role is for an excellent storyteller that not only creates visually and high impact designs but intuitive and functional ones.
    • You’ll be an integral part of designing the future of Andela’s online and offline marketing platforms.
    • A background in shipping full-spectrum marketing campaigns and the gamut of marketing materials to a national and/or global audience and driving impactful results is a huge plus.
    • Work directly with the Digital Marketing Manager, to ensure quality content is produced to drive the goals of the marketing team and ensure high conversions across Africa by collaborating with the rest of the Creative Communications teams.

    Responsibilities

    • Design for consistent and seamless experiences across mediums that build our business and connection to our target audience across all Andela Locations.
    • Own the visual communication of the Andela brand across all digital channels and 360 Media.
    • Translate the Andela vision and values into brand elements that are cohesive, modern, and inviting.
    • Create brand assets such as logos, iconography, illustrations, color palettes, patterns and other design elements when needed. Work on a range of ambitious projects including, but not limited to, UI designs, content graphics, social media graphics, event collateral, print materials, internal collateral, infographics, storyboards, and illustrations.

    About the role

    • The Role of the Senior Operations Manager is to plan, direct and coordinate the company’s operations functions in Nigeria.

    About The Role

    • Andela is looking to hire an experienced travel manager to support the Travel team in scaling operations within West Africa (Nigeria & Ghana).
    • As part of our business model, Andela’s software engineers travel for at least two weeks a year to our partners’ offices, predominantly based in the United States, with a few partners located in different parts of the world.

    • The Travel Manager will be responsible for managing and streamlining the travel program for West Africa while ensuring that strategies align with overall Andela & Global Travel KPIs will include but not limited to traveler experience, operational excellence & efficiency, and cost optimization.

    Senior Manager, HR Business Partner

    • Andela is seeking an HR business partner (HRBP) to support Andela’s scaling engineering experience group by being a trusted business partner to our engineers and partner engineering groups.  You will play a critical role in the design and implementation of strategic initiatives to retain and grow our most prized asset - our people!     Strategy Development and Implementation:

    • Strong interest in leveraging data to inform decisions (don’t worry if you aren’t an expert we have some of those!)
    • Experience in a challenging, changing, complex business environment with a special focus on multiculturalism (and internationalism).
    • Solid track record in design and implementation of employee engagement strategies that have meaningfully impacted the individual and organization experience
    • Previous experience in coaching employees and management through complex, difficult issues
    • Knowledge of in-country employment regulations, e.g. Country labor/employee relations statutes and capacity to apply them to Andela. Ability to adapt applicable Global labour laws into local practices as required. Experience with other African countries a plus
