    Planner - Turnaround

    Position Details:

    • This position is responsible for planning and executing turnarounds using Chevron’s Turnaround Project Management Process, and is responsible for meeting key turnaround deliverables and milestones.
    • The position will develop detailed turnaround maintenance plans, provide estimated time intervals for the activities identified in the detailed plans and review schedules for all work to be performed during Turnarounds.
    • The incumbent will ensure all work is conducted in adherence to Chevron’s safety guidelines and procedures.
    • He will interface with various groups to provide input to the development of the EGTL short and long range turnaround plans and assist in development of turnaround contracts and turnaround maintenance resource requirements.
    • The incumbent will utilize the Chevron IMPacT Process to define the scope of work, prioritize, plan, schedule and coordinate all turnaround activities.
    • The position will provide input to the annual and 3-year refinery Turnaround budget and manage the coordination of the turnaround cost objectives and cost control procedures.
    • This position will provide technical solutions and guidance to the turnaround team as well as mentor and develop less experienced team members.
    • Must be able to manage high complexity, high pressure, fast-paced situations.
    • Work schedule will be a rotational 28/28 or 14/14 position. Must be prepared to work extended hours/days during turnaround execution.

    EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor of Engineering degree or other relevant technical certification.

    WORK EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 6 years of maintenance experience as a technician in a petrochemical facility or refinery.

    OTHER REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
    * Minimum of 3 years of experience in Turnaround planning, scheduling and estimating in a petrochemical/refining facility.
    * Working experience in a structured, formal turnaround planning process such as Chevron IMPacT.
    * Demonstrable knowledge of codes and standards used in petrochemical/refining industry.
    * Proficiency in turnaround planning and execution, using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project and/or Primavera.
    * Demonstrated ability to work harmoniously in a team.

    Operations Advisor - Turnaround

    Position Details:

    • This position will develop all relevant Shutdown, Clean-up, and Start-up plans and tasks, for the Refining and Utilities units, Auto Thermal Reformer (ATR), Air Separation Unit (ASU), Fischer Tropsch (FT) unit, facilities and related units and equipment, utilizing the Chevron Turnaround Project Management Process (IMPacT).
    • This position will provide direct oversight for the day-to-day turnaround activities, to the Shift Supervisor, Lead Operators and Operators during the shut-down, clean-up and start-up processes of the various Units.
    • The incumbent will conduct safety discussions, fire prevention programs and emergency drills, with assigned personnel.
    • Ensure all work is conducted in adherence to operational procedures and Chevron's safety and environmental procedures and guidelines.
    • This position ensures that all equipment are isolated and prepared for maintenance and that all work has been completed satisfactorily.
    • The incumbent will provide technical guidance to Console and Field Operators in all aspects of the Turnaround.
    • Issue instructions on shut-down plans and recommend the assignment of duties to Lead Operators to ensure safe and adequate coverage of all plant equipment during the Turnaround.
    • This position will take control and initiate immediate action during emergencies, to minimize or eliminate hazards to personnel and equipment and will provide first aid in case of personnel injury.
    • Will provide contractor oversight and performance evaluation. Will ensure the economical use of utilities, materials, tools, contractor services and supplies and minimize wastes during the turnaround.
    • Will issue daily written update reports to the Operations Supervisor, Shift Supervisors and Lead Operators.
    • Will facilitate daily update meetings and review daily updates with the relieving Shift Supervisors, Lead Operators and Crews.
    • Must be able to manage high complexity, high pressure, fast-paced situations.
    • Work schedule will be a rotational 28/28 or 14/14 position.
    • Must be prepared to work extended hours/days during Turnaround execution.

    EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: An Engineering degree or other relevant technical certification.

    WORK EXPERIENCE: Minimum of seven (7 )years operations experience in a petrochemical facility or refinery, one (1) of which must be at supervisory level.

    OTHER REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
    * Proven turnaround work experience in a petrochemical plant as a surveillance operator, and as a console or lead operator
    * Demonstrable experience in planning and execution of plant shut down, clean-up and start-up operations for turnarounds.
    * Working knowledge of plant drawings, including Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), piping and electrical drawings, safe charts, cause and effects.
    * Ability to develop isolation plan with sound knowledge of Lock-Out, Tag-out (LOTO) processes.
    * Demonstrable knowledge and experience in the use of Gas-To-Liquids equipment and processes.

    Automation Advisor - Turnaround

    • Must understand process safety and be a strong team player.
