Job Summary

The Rig Accountant will be responsible for various financial tasks and analysis in relation to Profit centres and Legal entities. Apply the principles of accounting in order to prepare and analyze financial information for the assigned Rig. Ensure compliance with the company’s policies and procedures and related internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly bank balance reconciliation statement and monthly billing invoices for clients
• Review supplier invoices for appropriate documentation and coding
• Assist in preparation of monthly Profit & Loss statement and account analysis for the assigned rig and balance sheet reconciliations for Legal entities
• Assist in preparation of budgets and forecasts for assigned rig
• Communicates as and when required (both in verbal and written form) with clients, suppliers, and vendors, banking contacts, rig managers, cost controllers etc.
• Ensure that assigned day-to-day operations are carried out in accordance with established accounting principles, policies, objectives and budget.
• Interact and liaise with a variety of departments within the organization as well as multiple levels of management
• Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
• Participate in any other assigned duties, responsibilities and special projects as directed immediate superior

Key Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of financial experience on a drilling project.
• Excellent computer skills with an advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, accounting systems and financial concepts.
• Accounting and/or finance degree required

• Assist with operation of drilling rig, and support equipment effectively.
• Assists in loading and unloading equipment.
• Assist on the working floor - normal drilling procedures.
• Mix mud for pit.

• Drive support vehicles when required.

• Must be able to dead lift 80 to 100 pounds overhead throughout the daily shift.

Job Summary

The Drilling Engineer will be responsible for the engineering and planning, and monitoring of drilling operations. This individual will need to collaborate with other disciplines within the Company to successfully meet the goals and objectives of the Operations Department. 

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for Well design, planning, monitoring, and providing technical support for daily drilling operations
• Responsible for communication with sub-surface team and other disciplines to produce a Well design which is fully functional for “life of well”, and meets all objectives.
• Responsible for producing a Well design which is compliant with all government/regulatory requirements, and in keeping with asset integrity as it relates to the environment and personal safety
• Responsible for tracking daily well-cost and daily drilling progress.
• Review offset wells and identify risks and hazards, as well as best practices
• Working with the supply chain department in the identification and monitoring of the performance of service providers
• Visit the drilling rig during critical operations as needed
• Responsible for drilling optimization by leading and documenting after-action reviews to identify best practices and lessons learned.
• Responsible for surveillance of peers, and learning and applying new technology for the purpose of drilling optimization and continuous improvement.
• Gather and organize information such as equipment specifications, government regulations, operating agreements, permit approvals, technical publications, guidelines and reports

Key Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
• Minimum of 7 years experience as a drilling engineer
• Knowledge of sound engineering principles and ability to apply them to a Well design.
• Must have a working knowledge of government regulations and permitting requirements
• Must be strongly committed to safety and protection of the environment

Responsibilities/Duties

• The Chief Mechanic’s overall responsibilities are, but are not necessarily limited to, the following:
• Perform routine maintenance controls of the mechanic equipments and devices of the rig.
• Provides for preventive, routine and non-routine maintenance and for repairs of internal combustion engines, pumps, compressors and drilling related equipment of rig.
• Instruct all personnel assigned to him of their duties, their responsibilities and the necessary safetyprecautions prior to start up of any work.
• Ensure that all orders and instructions given in writing or verbally are fully understood and adheredto.
• Ensure that all safety routines are followed.
• Ensure that no mechanical work that requires a “work permit” or mechanical/electrical isolation isstarted until a proper investigation has been carried out and approvals have been given in writing.
• Promptly report all accidents, near-miss accidents and non-conformances job.
• React timely to all corrective action requests.
• Ensure that personnel under his supervision possess the necessary qualifications and experienceto properly carry out the work assigned to them from a professional as well as a safety point of view.
• Attends and promote the safety meetings and have special safety meetings with his mechaniccrew whenever necessary.
• Attends all the safety drills held onboard.
• Ensure good housekeeping in his/her area
• Be familiar with all relevant work and safety procedures issued by Saipem and by the Operator,and promote the implementation of same.
• Ensure that his subordinates use compulsory protective equipment and are safety minded in theirday to day work.
• Be familiar with all the classification society’s and the authorities rules and regulation applicable tohis area of responsibility
• Ensures that before and maintenance activity is started, a proper risk evaluation is carried outprecautions have been taken and “Work Permit” has been signed, in case of need.

• You should be proficient in safety management, environmental management and qualty management principles.

Job Requirements:

• A well-endorsed drilling career in the offshore industry, previous Lead/Tourpusher experience is essential.
• Valid Offshore Survival Course and Offshore Health/Medical Certificate.
• Valid IWCF approved certificate.
• Good level of verbal and written communication in English.
• Industry related Bachelor's Degree preferred.
