    Project Manager

    Location - Town / City    Lagos
    Location - Country           Nigeria
    Reporting To (Job Title) Marketing Manager Oral Care and Innovation
    Type of position               Permanent

    Job Purpose/Scope        
    The jobholder shall be based within the Marketing function of the Consumer Healthcare business with responsibility for:
     
    Setting up the Project management strategy for Nigeria within the context of growth through new product development (NPD) and product changes
    Leading project management of cross functional project teams to deliver on the product changes and NPD initiatives across the Nutritionals, Wellness and Oral Care portfolios.
    Setting up and ensuring rigor around a monthly Product Management Board (PMB) process.
    Key Responsibilities        GlaxoSmithKline has a global system that ensures world-class scientists, clinical scientists, technologists and marketers work intimately to develop exciting new product opportunities underpinned by science and based on compelling consumer insights. This role has key responsibilities as follows:
     
    - Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
    - Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities.
    - Manages and facilities project leaders on operational aspects of a project and scope.
    - Reviews deliverables prepared during joint planning sessions (JPS)
    - Effectively applies appropriate methodology and enforces project standards.
    - Minimizes exposure and risks on project.
    - Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
    - Chairs and Facilitates Project Management Board meetings effectively.
    - Holds regular status meetings with project teams and leaders.
    - Effectively communicates relevant project information to superiors.
    - Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion.
    - Understands how to communicate difficult / sensitive information tactfully.
    - Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions.
    - Leads internal teams/task forces
    - Reviews the status reports of team members and addresses issues as appropriate.
    - Complies with and helps to enforce standard policies and procedures.
     
    Qualifications, Experience         
    A good university degree plus an MBA
    Project management certification would be an advantage
    Minimum 3-5 years project management experience supplemented by related experience in Sales or Marketing disciplines but not a pre requisite.

    Medical Detailing Rep

    Job Purpose/Scope
     
    To implement GSK Consumer Oral Health strategies through sales calls on Dentists & other HCP’s as defined in the detailing plans (STP).
     
    To work with Medical Commercial Manager to build strong Expert Recommendation for GSK OTC brands.
     
    To drive sales into institutional clinics & top private Dental /Medical facility.
     
    Key Responsibilities include:
    •Achieve detailing target, sales growth and market share objectives for designated Consumer products in territory through optimal detailing and medical commercial activities.
    •Dissemination of Product Information to Health care providers via Group meetings / seminars, detailing, Newsletters, conferences and other effective vehicles.
    •Carry out efficient planning for detailing activity in own territory, including achieving stipulated call and clinical meetings/workshops targets with appropriate documentation.
    •Achieve agreed volume targets on promoted products into institutions & private clinics.
    •Effective use of resources to maximize return on investment.
    •Increase recommendation rates of GSK Consumer brands among Health Care Providers, by establishing the key benefits of the brands.
    •Daily entry of call information and updated customer information into provided templates for such purposes.
    •Carry out all detailing activities in accordance with GSK Commercial Ethics Code and appropriate SOPs.
    •Develop annual territory business plan consistent with medical detailing plan.
    •Create and maintain database for Health Care Providers.
    •Timely Monthly and weekly reporting of call, clinical meetings, products performances, market intelligence on customer and competitor activity in territory.
     
    Qualifications, Experience           
    • Degree in Pharmacy
    • Good Knowledge of Pharmacology, therapeutics and patho-physiology of disease.
    • 2 years cognate experience.
