    Drill Site Manager

    Job is available in these locations: Lagos, Lagos State, Nigeria

    This position will be responsible for the following:
    1) Ensure the safety of all personnel
    2) Supervise the execution of drilling program
    3) Supervise the work direction of service partners on well location
    4) Sign field invoices for service partner goods and services
    5) Supervise and mentor less experienced personnel
    6) Assist in incident investigations
    7) Assist in after action reviews
    8) Assist in formulation of Plan of Action
    9) Represent Chevron Nigeria in all phases of the well execution
    10) Other duties as required

    This position can be be located in Lagos office, deepwater, offshore or swamp rigs.

    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma in Engineering or Sciences with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division or Lower Credit, respectively.

    Experience:
    Minimum of fifteen (15) years relevant post-degree work experience (includes National Youth Service) in any combination of the following:
    - direct rig site supervision
    - drilling engineering and well planning
    - directional drilling
    - well logging activities
    - well completion activities
    - well cementing activities
    - logistical coordination
    - safety leadership
    - Drilling fluids experience
    - solids control experience
    - well workover and intervention activities
    - coordinate and supervise diverse work team and multi-national cultures
    - community relations
    - drilling rig experience as Driller, Tool Pusher, Tour Pusher or OIM

    Additional Requirements:
    - Demonstrates leadership quality with proven record and behaviours to promote rig site safety for an incident free workplace. Ability to drive cultural change at rig site and achieve an incident free work place.
    - Demonstrates ability to build team consensus and ability to work effectively and collaboratively in multi-discipline; multi-cultural environment. Able to interact effectively with workover superintendents, peers and service and contractor representatives.
    - Ability and willingness to supervise and mentor National work force. Demonstrates mentoring success.

    Workover Intervention Engineer

    Job is available in these locations: Lagos, Lagos State, Nigeria

    This position will be responsible for the following;
    - All engineering aspects in support of safe and efficient execution of non-rig type
    workover and well interventions operations offshore Nigeria.
    - It will also provide all engineering operations support for a HWOU (Hydraulic
    Workover Unit)..
    - The roles of the workover/intervention team will include all well work within the
    pressure envelope, as well as rig-site preparation.
    - The position will support in directing contract personnel, managing warehouse and logistics that support the operations

    Additional Requirement
    Engineering and Coordination Skills - Able to manage and coordinate enginnering, operations and logistics activities of many contractors to support workover operations in a complex and challenging remote location.

    Advanced engineering skills. Capable of analyzing and solving complex well workover and intervention problems. Technically & operationally credible with workover engineers, the Petroleum Engineering Group, WSM's & contractor personnel.

    Demonstrate commitment to employee development. Supports training and succession planning. Culturally aware.

    Special Consideration
    Operations will be supported from Chevron Nigeria's Escravos facilities and shorebase near the mouth of the Escravos River. Security is well established at the Escravos shorebase. There is significant additional activity ongoing near Escravos with the nearing completion of the Escravos Gas to Liquids plant.

    The position will be based in the Escravos Terminal in Nigeria. Operations will be supported from Escravos with Petroleum Engineering support in Escravos.

    Educational Requirement
    Bachelor's degree in Engineering. This is not required if candidate has more than 20 years experience in relevant workover intervention.

    Work Experience
    Minimum of 15 years experience in workover intervention.
