    Welding Engineer

    Job Summary

    • Ponticelli is seeking a skilled Welding Engineer to join our team in Nigeria for a significant infrastructure project. 
    • The ideal candidate will haveextensive hands-on experience in welding engineering on oil&gas projects.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement welding procedures and specifications in compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
    • Conduct welding inspections and assessments to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
    • Collaborate with project managers and other engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of welding processes into overall project execution.
    • Provide technical support and guidance to welding teams on-site.
    • Participate in the review and approval of welding qualifications and certifications.
    • Troubleshoot welding-related issues and propose effective solutions.
    • Maintain accurate documentation of welding processes, inspections, and certifications.

    Requirements
    Educational Qualification:

    • IWE (International Welding Engineer) with a minimum of 3 years of experience, or
    • IWT (International Welding Technologist) with significant practical experience in welding engineering.

    Experience:

    • Proven experience in welding engineering within the oil and gas or construction industries.
    • Strong knowledge of welding processes, materials, and standards (e.g., ISO, ASME).

    Skills:

    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and under pressure.

    Construction Manager

    Position Summary

    • We are an international industrial group serving companies in the oil and gas sector, is looking for a Site Construction Manager as part of an increase in activity.
    • We are offering you the opportunity to join us on fixed-term contract. The position is based in Nigeria.
    • The Construction Manager will be responsible for the successful planning, execution, and completion of grid-scale wind or solar projects. 
    • This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the renewable energy sector, particularly in managing large-scale wind or solar construction projects. 
    • The Construction Manager will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards:
    • Project Management: Lead and manage all aspects of construction from site preparation through commissioning.
    • Scheduling and Planning: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring timely completion of all construction phases.
    • Budget Management: Oversee project budgets, control costs, and ensure financial objectives are met.
    • Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the efforts of the construction team, subcontractors, and suppliers.
    • Quality Control: Implement and enforce strict quality control procedures to ensure all construction activities meet industry standards and project specifications.

    Requirements

    • You have a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, with a minimum of 8 years of experience in construction management.
    • You have proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale renewable energy projects. Also in-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
    • You have a basic knowledge of piping, including fittings, flanges, joints, valves, structures, and an understanding of NDT.
    • You have strong leadership and team management skills, with excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. You have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
    • You are proficient in project management software and tools.
    • PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.

    Job Description

    • We are offering you the opportunity to join us as a technical support. The position is based in Nigeria.
    • We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Manager M/F to lead and oversee large-scale industrial construction projects in the Oil & Gas sector in Nigeria in Port Harcourt.
    • The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage end-to-end project lifecycle, from initiation to handover;
    • Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines in alignment with client requirements and company objectives;
    • Lead cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, construction, and HSE;
    • Coordinate and supervise on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards;
    • Prepare and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource plans;
    • Identify and mitigate project risks; implement contingency plans as needed;
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and stakeholders;
    • Provide regular reports on project progress, issues, and performance to senior management;
    • Ensure adherence to contractual obligations and industry standards;
    • Promote a strong safety culture and enforce HSE compliance at all project sites.

    Requirements

    • You have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, with at least 8–10 years of project management experience in the Oil & Gas or industrial construction sector.
    • You have a proven experience in managing large-scale EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects.
    • You have a strong leadership and team management skills. Also a excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
    • You have solid understanding of local and international HSE regulations and practices.
    • You are recognised for your proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
    • PMP or equivalent certification is a strong advantage.
    • Your willingness to travel and work on-site across project locations in Nigeria.
