    Veterinary Manager (Broiler Farms)

    Job Summary

    • We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Veterinary Manager with a strong background in broiler farming to lead a team of veterinary doctors.
    • This role involves overseeing the health and welfare of broiler livestock, managing vaccination schedules, and ensuring high standards in farm biosecurity and disease prevention.
    • The ideal candidate should have experience working with large-scale poultry farms and be familiar with the latest in veterinary medicine and farm management practices.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Supervise and provide guidance to veterinary doctors and support staff, ensuring effective veterinary care for broiler livestock.
    • Conduct training sessions on best practices in poultry health management, biosecurity, and vaccination.
    • Oversee disease prevention programs, including vaccination schedules, biosecurity protocols, and health monitoring.
    • Administer treatments and vaccinations as needed and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
    • Monitor and manage the health status of livestock across multiple broiler farms, with a focus on maintaining high productivity and animal welfare.
    • Coordinate with large poultry farms on best practices and advancements in broiler health management.
    • Maintain accurate records of treatments, vaccinations, and farm health metrics to support farm productivity and compliance.
    • Prepare reports and analysis on livestock health and productivity for senior management.
    • Build relationships with large broiler farms and serve as the primary point of contact for health-related inquiries.
    • Act as a representative for vaccine sales and liaise with industry partners to stay updated on advancements in veterinary medicine for poultry.

    Qualifications and Requirements

    • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent qualification.
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in poultry veterinary management, preferably with experience in large-scale farms.
    • Proven expertise in vaccine administration and disease prevention for broilers.
    • Excellent administrative and team management skills.
    • Strong communication skills to liaise with other farms and industry stakeholders.
    • Familiarity with large broiler farms and poultry health practices in Nigeria.

    Mechanical Engineer

    Job Description

    • We are seeking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our technical team.
    • The ideal candidate will support farm operations by overseeing, maintaining, and troubleshooting all mechanical systems, including equipment used in poultry production.
    • This role requires experience in industrial maintenance, knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, and a hands-on approach to solving technical issues in agricultural settings.

    Responsibilities
    Mechanical System Maintenance:

    • Ensure that all mechanical systems operate efficiently to minimize downtime and reduce operational costs.
    •  Perform regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs on farm equipment, including feeders, water systems, HVAC systems, and generators
    • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to extend the lifespan of equipment and prevent unexpected breakdowns.

    Troubleshooting and Repairs:

    • Provide technical support to the production team by resolving any mechanical issues that may arise during operations.
    • Diagnose and address mechanical issues quickly and effectively, using a systematic approach.

    Compliance and Safety:

    • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety policies and recommending improvements where needed.
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and farm operational standards
    • Keep up-to-date records of repairs, parts inventory, and maintenance activities for compliance and reporting purposes.

    Collaboration and Communication with team:

    •  Work closely with other engineers, production managers, and maintenance staff to support continuous operations.
    • Assist in training farm staff on the proper use of equipment and minor troubleshooting techniques.

    System Upgrades and Continuous Improvement:

    • Suggest and implement improvements in mechanical systems and processes to increase efficiency and production quality.
    • Stay informed on industry advancements and recommend new technologies and practices that may benefit farm operations.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably within the agricultural or food production industry.
    • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including HVAC, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
    • Hands-on experience with preventive maintenance practices and troubleshooting.
    • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations in industrial settings.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to teamwork.
    • Previous experience in poultry or livestock farm operations.

    Payable Accountants

    Job Summary

    • The Payables Accountant is responsible for managing the accounts payable process within the organization,
    • ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments, monitoring expenses, and maintaining a thorough record
    • of transactions. This role involves close collaboration with the finance team, vendors, and other departments to
    • maintain financial health and ensure compliance with company policies.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Process and verify invoices, ensuring accurate coding, timely payment, and proper authorization.
    • Reconcile accounts payable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and accurately posted.
    • Handle vendor inquiries, resolving discrepancies and maintaining strong vendor relationships.
    • Prepare and process payment batches, including wire transfers, checks, and ACH payments.
    • Ensure all payments are compliant with company policies, procedures, and government regulations.
    • Maintain accurate records of invoices, payments, and financial documentation.
    • Assist in month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and accruals.
    • Generate reports on accounts payable status, cash flow, and expense analysis as needed by management.

    • Review employee expense claims and reimbursements for accuracy and compliance.
    • Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures, including tax and regulatory requirements.

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounts payable or general accounting.
    • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MS Office, especially Excel.
    • CPA, ACCA, or relevant certifications are advantageous.
    • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Effective communication skills, with the ability to liaise with internal departments and vendors.
    • Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
    • Knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and financial reporting standards
