    Truck Driver

    Job Brief

    • Our client is looking for a Truck Driver to serve their supply chain logistics department in a safe and timely manner.

    Responsibilities

    • Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from plants or retail and distribution centers
    • Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
    • Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
    • Document and log work/rest periods and kilometres spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
    • Input “macros” into our automated system for each stage of the loading and unloading process
    • Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
    • Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
    • Collect and verify delivery instructions.
    • Report defects, accidents or violations.

    Requirements and Skills

    • Trucking School Diploma
    • Proven work experience as a Truck Driver
    • Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc)
    • Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
    • Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
    • No recent moving or driving violations
    • Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc).
    • Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations.
    • Valid truck driving licence.

    Early Childhood Educator

    Summary

    • Provides a stimulating, safe, and developmentally appropriate educational environment where children have the opportunity to develop cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skills.
    • Provides a block and lesson plan by which classes are conducted. May lead and functionally supervise teacher's aides or assistants.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Organizes and provides developmentally appropriate early childhood education programs; plans and implements curriculum and education for children ranging in age from six weeks to twelve years old.
    • Provides activities and opportunities that encourage curiosity, exploration, and problem solving appropriate to the developmental levels and learning styles of children.
    • Plans and prepares classroom setting; oversees safety and educational programs; supervises children in the classroom; provides a supportive environment in which children can learn and practice appropriate and acceptable individual and group behaviors.
    • Interacts with parents and community groups; maintains open and cooperative communication with parents and families, encouraging their involvement in the program and supporting the child's family relationships.
    • Writes and compiles individual assessments of each child's development; completes daily inventories, child attendance, and related reports.
    • Participates in teaching undergraduate and graduate early childhood education labs, as appropriate.

    Minimum Job Requirements

    • Must have a Bachelor's Degree preferably in early childhood education or related field.
    • At least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
    • Completed Degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
