Responsibilities

• Liaise with Terminal Warehouse Supervisors and the Marine team to coordinate vehicle management to prevent traffic congestion between the Popular Jetty and road networks
• Mobile patrols of road networks to ensure free-flowing traffic.
• Plan, allocate, and efficiently manage the traffic marshals, giving priorities to traffic-critical areas.
• Communicate any bottlenecks to relevant parties for quick resolution
• Report all gross traffic offenses and incidents to the HSE management team.
• Ensure effective cleanliness and housekeeping within all road networks.
• Prepare and submit daily reports.

Requirements

• Minimum of HND/BSC
• Previous related experience.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with road users to ensures free flow of traffic to and from jetty and sites within Snake Island.
• Enforce vehicular speed limits on the Island of 10 and 20 km/hr at operational sites and non-industrial sites respectively
• Station at critical junctions and blind spots to safely guide vehicular flow using standard hand signals, flags, and placards.
• Ensure vehicles are not parked at junctions, blind spots or non-designated parking areas
• Direct pedestrians to prevent man- vehicular interface. Pedestrian must walk against oncoming traffic.
• Ensure road networks are free for regular operational traffic flow.
• Monitor waste disposals and litters along the roads and enforce proper waste disposal and use of designated waste bins
• Monitor and promptly report drug and alcohol use by truck drivers and their assistants to the traffic supervisor
• Report filled waste bins to the environmental officers for prompt evacuation and waste bin replacements
• Report any gross traffic violations to the traffic supervisor for appropriate remediation.

Requirements

• Minimum of OND
• Previous experience in traffic management.
