    Job Description

    • Accountable to GM, to drive Trade Channel Strategies & ensure optimization of KC investments on brands, categories & customer/channel initiatives to deliver customer/channel growth & profitability targets delivering business financial objectives.

    Responsibilities

    • Channel & Business Performance: Generate channel, customer & shopper strategies based on in-depth data analysis, cultural considerations & category facts to derive trends therefore identify, understand, and address performance gaps and opportunities for incremental growth in order to deliver the business financial objectives in WECA.
    • Competitive Intelligence: Systematic, organized & comprehensive analysis of competitors using intelligence-gathering to come up with a well-informed strategy for better decision making & planning. Also ensure monthly store audits across the trade to explore, identify & analyse category, trade, shopper, POP and competitor activities & trends and leverage these in the identification and response to growth issues and opportunities in your customers.
    • Price Optimisation: Ensure price optimization by continual analysis & monitoring on and off pricing levels of KC and competitor lines relative to the company mandate and category price index models.
    • Annual Business Planning: Provide leadership to NCMs and CCMs to identify and priorities go to market opportunities to support the BOPs, and to develop these into the Channel Operating Plans and ultimately cascade them into the Customer Business Plans.
    • Go to Market Excellence: Based on in-depth Channel & Shopper understanding develop goto-market strategies with NCMs to drive store cluster level polices, driving compliance of ranging, merchandising, activities in support of plans and gap fill initiatives - maximising speed to market, trade participation, impactful brand visibility, shopper engagement and conversion.
    • Trade Spend: Fully responsible for effective & efficient trade spend. Provide systems & process that critically review and provide recommendations to maximise the ROI on trade spend to activate brands, stimulate sales volumes, and optimise the investment made in either trading terms or other spend.
    • Trade Credentials: Lead JVC programmes across assigned customers in line with Customer Business Plans to secure trade support of K-C ranging, space, stock pressure and Go to Market proposals to transform the shopper experience and drive category and brand performance.
    • Business Processes: Develop effective templates, systems & procedures that ensure all customer teams build effective collaborative working relationships and procedures with customer management, distributors and customers in order to drive incremental category, customer and brand growth
    • Capability Development: Ensure critical channel partners teams are well trained on KC brands, process & systems including upgrading of their capabilities.

    Requirements
    Must Have:

    • At least 6 years work experience of senior management in Sales & Marketing or Trade Marketing.
    • Strong analytical & sound decision-making skills.
    • Capable of working independently and proficiency working in diverse cultures/countries.
    • Strong financial acumen and highly developed leadership skills.
    • Solid influencing and negotiation skills with an entrepreneurial robustness.

    Job Details

    • As part of the KSA Supply Chain team, this role is responsible for providing the timely creation and communication of robust market demand to enable the delivery of Working Capital targets, Operating profit and Customer Service goals.
    • The role is pivotal to drive optimal decisions between several functions including Sales Controllers and Customer Business Managers, Business Analysts, S&OP Teams and Customer Services in the 1 month to 2 year horizon.

    Job Description

    • The role will translate consumer / sales demand, promotions, product introduction & rollover plans into an agreed forecast of market requirements on an on-going 18 month rolling basis, keeping systems and other information flows up to date.
    • The role also includes the short term management/coordination of the execution of plans, communication of changes, issues and shortages, avoidance of obsolete products and stock run outs.
    • The identification and delivery of process and capability improvement, and Cost Transformation and inventory optimization opportunities are expected in order to deliver team and business objectives.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • For an agreed portfolio of products for the KSA, and in support of the KSA business plans
    • Develop and maintain a monthly demand schedule by maintaining an 18 month rolling forecast at invoice SKU level
    • Manage the monthly KSA MBO sign off forecast release process
    • Drive improvements in forecast accuracy and bias
    • Provide forecast insights and recommendations for quarterly financial & budget process, plus 5 year business plans, and category specific projects, innovation and strategies
    • Manage forecast locations splits, roll-overs and allocation rules to optimize service and reduce obsolescence and cost exposure
    • Drive improvements in the Demand Planning processes, including DIO optimization
    • Support implementation of demand management best practices/strategies across categories and accounts
    • Understand and communicate supply chain implications and solutions (when appropriate) of category-specific business plans.
    • Work closely with SC and S&OP colleagues, especially Collaborative Planners, in support of tactical execution which meets business objectives.

    Requirements
    The Individual:

    • Bachelor Degree (BA, BSc) or equivalent is desirable;
    • Business/SC experience, ideally including a forecasting or sales and operations planning (S&OP) environment or with a proven track record in Supply Chain
    • Fluent in English, highly numerate; first class analytical skills including data manipulation
    • Flexible approach - excellent leadership skills together with strong team ethic
    • Experience of SAP APO, MS EXCEL®, BW and R/3 or similar systems desirable
